Hi all!
It's been my impression from this forum that the Savage enjoys considerable more popularity in Europe and the Land Downunder than it does here in the US. I was wondering if there are cultural or regulatory issues that might account for this.
For example, it is my understanding that in Great Britian, there is a 35 horsepower limit for new riders for the first two years, which the Savage nicely fits under. Besides, the Brits raised thumpers to an art form YEARS ago. (Norton Manx, Matchless, Velocette, Vincent... need I say more!)
Myself, my Bohemian ethnic background has always led me to things that were a little off the beaten path.
Anyway, enjoy your Savage for whatever reason, and ride safe.
